Lincecum doesn’t watch a lot of pregame film, as many pitchers do, to look for vulnerabilities in the hitters he’s about to face. “I stick to my strengths as opposed to going after everyone’s weaknesses,” he told me. “If you can hit it, come hit it.”

I’d like to think that I have the same attitude about life as Timmeh does about pitching.

Austin’s favorite creative and design collective, Public School, just debuted their site redesign and it’s lovely. These guys are part of it. Part of me didn’t want to reblog this because I’m secretly hoping I come across 50 bucks before they sell out, but that’s probably not gonna happen so oh well: here is this lovely print which articulates the mysterious joy of cokes.

This girl is a hero. Effing awesome. She is paradoxically proving two sides of the educational debate at once: on one hand, she makes a very reasoned argument against school as we know it, on the other hand, she went through twelve years of public school and obviously came out of it bright, free-thinking, and articulate.

PS: the expressions on the faces of the adults behind her are amazing.
